Working for ten years as a lifeguard has taught me the importance of safety and preventative measures in the workplace. Over time, experiences I have gained lead to promotions and more responsibilities due to the skills and hard-working ethics I display. My position grew to encompass not only patron safety, sanitization and communication, but also planning/scheduling, reports and paperwork, being a team leader and being accountable for that teams mistakes. In this way, I have learned how to cultivate good reliable employees and teach relevant workplace practices to a large cast of perspective guards. Not all my experience comes from Lifeguarding, Head Guarding and Pool Managing. I have also experienced retail and sales environments along with logistics and delivery responsibilities. Working as a delivery person for The Water Store and a seasonal CCA for the USPS has taught me the importance of timeliness along with effective logistic problem solving and, again, an understanding of safety awareness. Handling money, managing accounts and preparing bank deposits earned me a trustworthy status with employers. Handling the physical aspects of jobs has never been an issue either; weekly I was able to deliver an average of 9,500 lbs of products with seasonal and emergency related fluctuations. I am versatile and happy to learn a new companies procedures and policy and am eager to find new skills and experiences.
