I was hired into a new team and area that is being developed for Dominion. I specifically do application packaging, meaning I test and deploy applications throughout the whole company. This is done using scripting such as PowerShell and Batch, or deployment tools such as App Volumes, MECM (SCCM), Citrix, or within a network share. I am heavily involved with giving my input on the new processes of this team, and any large scale processes that we would be involved in.

I work with the application build and release support team. Our day to day task is to support software developers and moving their code from development to production. I work heavily with Harvest, VMWare, App-V, MECM, Citrix, Windows Servers, PowerShell, and Windows administration to maintain company applications. I also work support tickets provided from help desk to keep the company compliant with auditing and safety regulations.

I worked with 3 different teams as an intern. I worked with the virtualization team, and dealt with Unidesk (Citrix App Layering), Citrix Servers, and VMware daily. I then worked with the desktop infrastructure team and used various Microsoft products and heavily used MECM. Lastly, I worked with workstation support in providing general IT solutions to problems with employees’ computers.

This is my father’s family business I worked during high school and college. My tasks consisted of working with customers and fulfilling their trophy/award orders, using Epilog/Universal laser engraving equipment to complete these orders. Then working with QuickBooks to receive payment from customers.
