Worked on behalf of Minnesota's corn farmers in the area of federal and state government relations, including organizing and leading grower visits to Washington, D.C., and St. Paul to lobby elected officials, providing regular written and verbal updates on pending legislations and regulatory changes. Led the organization's policy development process through grassroots meetings with growers across the state and at National Corn Grower Association meetings. Met regularly with other agricultural groups (Turkey, Poultry, Farmers Union, Farm Bureau, Soybeans, Sugar Beets) for collaboration on public policy goals. In addition, responsible for the organization's political action committee and allied industry partner program supporting annual grower events.

State and federal level lobbying on behalf of the organization's corn grower members. Led the Iowa Caucus Project comparing presidential candidate stances to Iowa Corn Grower Association policy priorities. Assisted in management of the policy development process through grassroots meetings, state convention, and the National Corn Grower Association. Scheduled, created briefing documents, and helped to lead lobbying efforts at the state and federal levels. Wrote public policy updates for a weekly e-news letter to membership.
