Tanner H. Email and Phone Number
My journey has been anything but ordinary. Born with severe birth defects due to circumstances beyond my control, I faced significant challenges from the very start. By the age of three, I had already undergone an amputation of my right leg, and by fourteen, I had endured fourteen major surgeries, including procedures for scoliosis, clubbed feet, and multiple hernias. Despite these hurdles, I refused to let my disabilities define me. Thanks to the unwavering support of my great grandmother, Ethel “GG” Brownfield, I was able to compete in sports alongside my able-bodied peers, playing baseball, basketball, wrestling, and even full-contact football. At 19 years old, I found my calling in public service, beginning with the Portland Police Bureau as a Police Cadet and volunteering with the Beaverton Police Department as a citizen volunteer and with the City of Beaverton as part of their Community Emergency Response Team (C.E.R.T.). This experience fueled my passion for giving back to the community. After high school, I entered the private security industry, where I eventually rose to the position of interim director of security at Shriners Children's—a nonprofit that had played a pivotal role in my own life.In 2022, as my body began to slow down and daily pain increased, I made the difficult decision to medically retire. However, my drive to contribute didn’t stop there. I focused on two organizations I founded: Pacific Northwest Bigfoot Search and the Pacific Northwest Missing Persons Project (PNWMPP). In 2024, I transformed my passion for investigating missing persons cases into a successful nonprofit corporation. At PNWMPP, I oversee all aspects of the organization, from strategic planning and field operations to community outreach and partnerships. My work is deeply personal, driven by a commitment to human dignity and justice. I am proud to lead a team that is not only highly skilled but also compassionate and relentless in the pursuit of our mission.
