I'm a recent college graduate with a bachelor's degree in Public Relations & Image Management.I got to San Jose after attending Butte College in Chico, Calif. and completing a semester at that school while still attending high school. I initially started out majoring in computer engineering while focusing on media. I am a gold medal winner at SkillsUSA California State Conference for TV (Video) Production in San Diego. That lead me to become a national competitor at the SkillsUSA National Skills and Leadership Conference 2016 in Louisville, Ky.. While attending Butte College I discovered my interests and skills to be more closely aligned with writing. This lead me to public relations and marketing communications.While attending San Jose State I joined the on-campus student PR/Ad agency and became a project leader for promotion for an upcoming documentary. I was also part of the 2020-2021 Bateman Competition and helped produce an award show on Zoom where we presented Dr. Anthony Fauci with an award for his communication during the COVID-19 pandemic.The day after I graduated I began work at Videomaker, a print and online publication focused on the video production space. I was a marketing team of one there and lead multiple efforts to grow their contact list by 100,000 emails through a number of methods including sweepstakes, social outreach, email marketing and content marketing.My goals are to expand my breadth of knowledge in the world of publicity and marketing and advance my career to a place where I feel I have accomplished all that I want to. While the dream is to become an entertainment publicist, I am open to wherever my skills and interests take me.
