Howdy! l recently received my Juris Doctor from the University of Richmond School of Law (May 2024). I have a passion for public policy and regulatory affairs, and I have hands-on experience in the federal regulatory process and in state and federal legislative advocacy. I'm looking to connect with folks in regulatory affairs and public policy to engage in meaningful conversations about navigating regulatory landscapes and public policy challenges.In my recent role as an intern at the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs within the Office of Management and Budget, I analyzed and reviewed proposed and final federal agency regulations, I coordinated with federal agencies in interagency reviews of proposed regulations, and I evaluated government-wide information collection requests.Prior to this, my time at McGuireWoods Consulting as an Advocacy Intern equipped me with skills in researching state and local policy matters, monitoring legislative hearings, and preparing legislative and economic development reports on political subdivisions.As a Legal Intern in the Chairman's Office of the Federal Maritime Commission, I played a vital role in researching and preparing legal memoranda, conducting legal research, and overseeing implementation of new rulemakings.Before law school, I developed an extensive background in legislative affairs while serving as a Legislative Coordinator at the University of Texas System's Office of Governmental Relations and as a Legislative Affairs Manager at Texas REALTORS®. In these roles, I analyzed and tracked hundreds of state legislature bills, developed policy papers, drafted amendments to legislation, provided executive leadership with summaries of state and federal legislative bills, and actively monitored state legislative committee meetings.
