Started my own residential general contracting business. I was in charge of bidding, scheduling, designing/advising projects for clients, managing subcontractors and self perform work, client relations, performing self perform work myself, writing and collecting invoices for clients, all finical paperwork and legal paperwork associated with running a small business. Reading and interpreting design drawing to keep the project on track and built to the plans and specifications. Managing all projects from start to finish and ensuring they are built to Velocity Construction's high standards. Ensuring that Velocity Construction always had clients lined up to keep the business successful.

Worked in the field on a Library for the local County. I helped with the scheduling process by ensuring our subcontractors have the proper materials on site when we needed them to start. I helped coordinate miscellaneous items that needed to be installed by ensuring other subcontractors installed what they needed to, in order to ensure there were no delays. I was in charge of keeping records for safety-related documents that are required as part of Batson Cook's Safety Program. I ensured that all contractors had proper safety documents on site such as; Safety Plans, Daily Safety Reports and MDS sheets. Walked the site daily and ensured that all subcontractors were following safety rules when performing their scope of work. If I saw a possible safety violation I told the worker and their foreman to correct the problem immediately. Was in charge of running laborers to keep the site clean and safe for all workers. Helped the Superintendent and assistant superintendent with daily office task that needed to be completed such as updating plan sets, general office paperwork and updating the RFI logs. Gave Safety orientation to new subcontractors that were on site. Walked the site daily to ensure that the project was being kept on schedule and helped the assistant superintendent change the schedule as needed to meet the current project timeline. Worked as a carpenter somedays building temporary walls and building frames for windows to dry-in the building.

I was given the opportunity to build some exterior walls for the K-State, Construction Science/ Architectural Engineering dept. I was given a set of plans in which I had to make a materials and price estimate. I built the mock up walls to be used in class to better help students understand the different materials used in a wall structure and how they are installed.

Worked as an Assistant Project Engineer on SkyHouse Denver. Assisted the Project Managers with the writing/ tracking of ; RFI's, Submittals and Change Orders. Made sure the field personal were aware of the changes made to the construction documents. Was put in charge of ordering , submitting and writing contracts for various small projects on site. Assisted the Senior Project Manager with bi-weekly schedule walks of the entire building to update the schedule. Walked the building daily to track progress and help work through problems that were holding up the project. Attended weekly trade meetings to figure out what needed to compete for that week and any conflicts that might prevent that from happening. Attended weekly OAC (Owner, Architect, Contractor) meetings where updates were given, as well as problems that the team was working through on the project.

I worked in the field with the Superintendents as well as Project managers to help construct a variety of projects. We were given certain deadlines in which we had to meet according to the schedule so we could keep the project on time. I learned a lot of invaluable skills in the field of construction to help me pursue my degree in Construction Management.

I worked with a business partner to market and provide lawn care services. I mowed grass, applied fertilizer when needed, and trimmed bushes.

I was paired with different students to work on their skills over the summer so they would not regress. I worked with several different students and paras in order to help the kids be successful. We did a variety of activities and games in order to work on the students goals for the year.
