My responsibilities as the Chapter Program Intern included helping to develop a growth strategy for Wine to Water chapters across the nation and researching potential partnerships between the organization and universities in Chicago, Illinois. I spent a week in Chicago by myself visiting these connections in person to establish stronger relationships with interested parties. Outside of work for the Chapter Program, I also worked to develop an effective system of online record keeping for the organization's international projects.

Charlotte, North Carolina Area

I had the privilege of spending one month in the With Open Eyes office in Charlotte, North Carolina, researching and compiling a list of effective Income Generating Activities (IGA's) for native pastors in Kenya. I also researched and attended meetings to explore new approaches for marketing of the organization. I spent the second half of the internship in various location in Kenya with another intern. We interviewed over thirty pastors and gathered information for their online profiles. We also spent time doing further field research for IGA's in each area.

During this internship I advertised and promoted the organization on UNC Charlotte's campus, I helped establish mutually beneficial relationships between Young Life and local businesses in the area, organized summer events, and worked with excel to report and record information for the Young Life area's office.
