Jernice Tan has over a decade of teaching experience at the tertiary education level. Her research interests encompass several areas, including motor development, adapted physical education, inclusive physical activity, disability sports, early childhood, and early intervention. She has a strong track record of grants and research projects conducted in collaboration with the industry and previously held multiple commercial licensing agreements with her former employer. Currently, she serves as a faculty member at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Science, National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, where she teaches Adapted Physical Activity and Growth & Motor Development.
