Dr. Sergey Tant is a full-time professor of Strategy and Communications at the American University of Armenia (AUA), and is the MBA Program Chair. Sergey is a co-founder of Pes-Pes educational and art project that teaches communication, leadership, and collaboration through coloring. Also, Sergey has co-founded zoom in! career orientation program. He is an ADB consultant, trainer and speaker.Formerly the Director of the AUA Open Education and the Program Chair of BA in Business Program at AUA. While teaching at AUA, Sergey also held the position of Deputy CEO at IDeA Foundation, a major philanthropic organization. He has a management consulting background with 17 years of experience in strategic planning, project implementation, and strategy advice, working in New York City, Yerevan, and Moscow. Sergey has worked at the Central Bank of Armenia, was an expert at the OSCE, ADB, UNDP etc. His private sector experience includes management positions in consulting companies in Russia (2005-2007) and Armenia (2018-now). Back in Armenia Sergey led the Strategy Division of AmeriaBank in Yerevan (2007-2009), and thereafter pursued his MBA in Boston. Before returning to Armenia for the second time in 2012, he worked as an Economist at The Conference Board in New York City. Sergey's training and consulting clients include Euromonitor International, UNICEF, World Vision, Caritas, Philip Morris, HSBC, Synopsys, Coca-Cola, and many more organizations in Armenia, Russia, Georgia, Dubai, Europe, and the Americas.In addition to his 2011 MBA from Brandeis (Boston, MA) Sergey also holds an MSc in Economics from Yerevan State University, an MCLS from AUA, and a Doctorate degree in Finance and Economics from the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia (2007). As a 2006 Fulbright Fellow, he pursued studies in Strategic Development and Global Economy at Dickinson College, PA. Sergey also is an alumnus of the Eurasia Executive Leadership Program (2008), University of Cambridge, U.K. In 2009 he became a Sauvé Scholar and Academic trainee at McGill University, Canada.
