As a Data engineer, I specialize in leveraging data and analytics to drive business value. I have received extensive training in ETL/ELT tools to create data that can be used for analysis and have achieved certification in understanding the flow of data to minimize costs.One of my key achievements was working on a migration project from Alteryx to Matillion for a top manufacturing client. This involved working closely with the client to understand their requirements, designing the new architecture, and implementing the migration with minimal downtime.In my graduate thesis work, I developed a Machine Learning model to detect forest fires using four months of data and four key parameters: temperature, wind speed, rain, and relative humidity. The model achieved 91.4% test accuracy, outperforming related models.During my undergraduate capstone project, I created a Deep Learning model that classifies several bird species based on their sound. I sourced datasets from an open-source website, Xeno-Canto, and employed a Python script to automate the process of downloading and training multiple files.I am also a published author in the field of automated forest fire prediction systems and AI and machine learning for COVID-19.
