Alpha is more a function of ‘how much you buy’, than ‘what you buy’. I consider myself as a long only Investor, and leverage the potential of quantitative trading.#ResearchAnalyst by passion and profession, and a #DataScience enthusiast.I idolize Value Investing as a School of thought.My understanding of Investing is quite old-school, which revolves around 'Margin of Safety'. Minimizing the Risk becomes the most important thing, and by doing so, the probability of out-performance increases.As a founder of a start-up in investment space (past 3 years), led to immense learning and shaped my focus for the long haul. The aim was to help common Investors from Tier 2-3-4 cities to minimize risk through calculated allocation and well researched approach to NOT loose money in the short term. This led to creation of a few proprietary analytical tools. My role also involved guiding aspiring students to figure out having a clear map to Investing through value added internships.Having spent sizable time as a Fundamental Equity Analyst under a great Teacher, has developed me as an individual with a good investing framework which is continuously improving. Currently upskilling in the domain of Data Science as I foresee a lively interaction of Machine learning in the domain of Portfolio management (buy-side) improving the quality and eventually better risk-adjusted returns.
