My portfolio, specifically, included managing all legal matters and documentation end-to-end, from acquisitions of land parcels to construction to hand over of the completed units to buyers / investors.Cross-functionally, I oversaw the Customer Services team, HR team and investor relationship management team.

I handled international and national contracts for providing and receiving services, statutory compliances for Kolkata, internal compliances for several locations of Genpact (including Kolkata), litigation management for East India, support in HR matters etc.

DLF is one of India's largest real estate companies, with 6 decades of experience in development of residential, commercial, hospitality and retail properties. DLF has a unique business model with earnings arising from development and rentals. Its exposure across businesses, segments and geographies, mitigates any down-cycles in the market. From developing 22 major colonies in Delhi, DLF is now present across 24 cities in 15 states in India.I tackled the day-to-day legal problems of the developments being undertaken by DLF in Eastern India (residential, commercial, SEZs, retail & hotel). This included drafting and vetting of various legal documents, managing litigations, coordinating with external consultants, maintaining and reporting various compliances, liaisioning with governmental authorities, etc.

Worked on various aspects of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Rules, Regulations and Bye-laws, CENVAT, MVAT and BST, Employees Provident Fund Act & Scheme, SARFAESI Act, Procedural requirements of International Commercial Arbitrations, Taking evidence in ICAs as per the ICC & IBA Rules, Company Law Procedures, Nature and scope of the Consumer Protection Act.During my stint there, I also attended an International Commercial Arbitration, drafted Due Diligence Reports, Financial Credibility Reports and Consent Terms and conducted several searches in order to inspect relevant documents in the offices of the Registrar of Companies, Mumbai.

During my training with Adv. Parasaran, I attended the proceedings of various high profile and complex cases, including CPIL v. UoI & Ors. (PIL on need for regulating ingredients of soft drinks), Nadiawala v. The Commissioner of Income Tax, Mumbai in the Supreme Court of India. I also assisted some well-known advocates on various other civil and criminal matters, upon reference from Mr. Parasaran, esp. in client counselling, drafting of necessary documents, filing of cases in the lower Courts, etc.
