I completed my Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering with minors in Computer Science at IIT Gandhinagar, where I developed a strong interest in data science and machine learning. I took courses in Data Structures and Algorithms, Database Systems, and Artificial Intelligence, and participated in projects and internships involving data analysis, prediction, and visualization. For example, as a Data Scientist training at Sears Holdings India in my Sophomore year, I applied various exploratory data analysis techniques to a large dataset and built a regression model to forecast sales. I am motivated by the potential of data science to solve real-world problems and drive innovation.Additionally, I pursued management science courses such as Business Skills for Entrepreneurs, Strategic Leadership, Financial Consideration of Engineering Decisions, Marketing Analytics, Product Management, Business Communication, and Managing Sustainable Businesses. These courses sparked my interest in management, particularly finance.I am excited to work at Barclays because it combines my interests in finance and technology. Collaborating directly with the Trading Team in the UK and US Headquarters will offer valuable insights into strategy and the financial markets.As a Software Developer at Truminds Software Systems, I was part of a team developing solutions for the telecom industry. I used my skills in C++, Python, and JavaScript to create REST APIs, implement data structures and algorithms, and debug and test code. I enjoyed collaborating with my colleagues and learning from their feedback and insights.
