I am a History Graduate from Delhi University and completed my PGDM from Indian Institute of Tourism & Travel Management in 2007. My journey in this industry started as a Tour Executive with an adventure and leisure company - Ibex Expeditions. While working there I learnt the basics of Operations and progressed onto to handling the Operations Department single handedly. Besides Operations, I worked on itinerary planning, pricing and logistics. After 2 yrs of experience in the Operations Dept, I got an opportunity to work in the Sales and Marketing division of Compass India Holidays Pvt. Ltd. In my current job profile as an Assistant Manager – Sales & Marketing, I have 4+ years of experience in Product Development, Client Servicing and Sales for Inbound Travel. I am a part of the core team involved in designing and planning the itineraries for travelers visiting India from across the globe. As a besopke travel consultancy, I have had the opportunity of directly handling the travelers and designing travel plans based on their preferences, needs and interests. This has really helped me build a strong Client Relationship along with understanding the market and the travel culture across the world. As a part of the Sales & Marketing team it is important to keep ourselves updated about the destinations we promote and therefore regular visits to different destinations and auditing of the hotels is a part of my work. A firsthand experience always helps in working towards providing maximum satisfaction level and improving the whole experience for our guests. My expertise lies in building a strong Client Relationship and working on an experiential holiday with a focus on holiday ideas based on an insider’s view of the diverse cultural heritage added with some uniqueness.
