• Attending provider for 25-bed hospice/palliative care inpatient unit. Symptom management and end of life care for patients with end stage HIV/AIDS, ESRD, Cancer, CHF, Alzheimer’s and Dementia, Heart Disease, Pulmonary Disease, Liver Disease, COPD, Pulmonary Fibrosis, and Stroke. Arrange inpatient admissions, transfers, and discharges in accordance with established Medicare guidelines/standards; perform rounds and document appropriate patient progress notes. • Perform inpatient procedures such as starting IV fluids, incision and drainage, wound care, suturing, splinting fractures, paracentesis, and extubation of mechanical vent patients. • Educate patients and their families on comfort care and what to expect during the final stages of life. Provide emotional support, resources, and education on the plan of care, symptom management, disease and dying process to patients and family members.

• Manage non-pharmacological treatments in patients with acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain. Obtain complete health histories, performs comprehensive physical examinations to determine appropriate pain management care plans. Order diagnostic exams including x-rays, CT scans, and MRIs to determine musculoskeletal injuries. • Non-pharmacological treatments include trigger point injections, PRP and stem cell therapy, spinal decompression, back pain treatment, and physical rehabilitation. • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop individualized plans of care for pain management treatment.
