(Summer) 1998 - 1999Developed a comprehensive signage plan for 33 competition and 14 non-competition venues for the 1999 Pan American Games. The plan encompassed wayfinding, informational, transportation, city and provincial directional signage with a budget of $325,000. The entire program required over 10,000 signs. The 1999 Pan American Games were held in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, July 23 to August 8, 1999. These Games were the largest celebration of sport and culture ever staged in Canada. 5000 athletes from 42 countries of North, South, Central America and the Caribbean participated in 41 sport disciplines. Created the Signage “Kit of Parts,” detailing the types, sizes, fonts, formats, colors, and layouts for the Signage Program. This document ensured adherence with the overall “Look” program and helped to present a consistent image for the Society.
