Experienced Accounting Manager.I have spent 25 years enjoying and developing ways to improve, manage, resolve, locate and discover information numbers provide an organization. From AP/AR to payroll, bookkeeping, budgets and job costing, numbers tell stories about a business' people, decisions and of course, performance. Working for a small business, the order of the day is wearing many hats. One day, might mean renewing insurance policies, and the next, slicing up work in progress data. Some days it's quarterly taxes and staying on top of HR issues; for many years was able to keep my employer's unemployment tax rate at the lowest possible percentage...savings!A few years ago, I was tasked with updating policies and procedures to coordinate compliance with ISNetworld and OSHA. A challenge for certain initially, but very rewarding as well. Our safety consultants and I worked with an OSHCON consultant, and have now had several years of SHARP certification and received Lone Star Award from the Texas Department of Insurance-OSHCON program. When I am not crunching a number or keeping up with compliance, I enjoy fishing (always a road trip from this part of West Texas), crochet, and the hat I enjoy most - being Yai Yai to my all-too-clever grandson.
