I have always been fascinated with science and how the body works. My natural curiosity drives me to observe, learn, and ask questions. With great compassion and understanding, I help patients and their families face end-of-life issues and decisions. I am empathetic as I attend to patients and their families during a critical medical time with the goal of restoring a patient to health. I don’t overlook the little things, like helping a patient brush their teeth, put in their hearing aides or clean their eye glasses -- or grow impatient when reviewing a list of treatment options with families who are completely overwhelmed. With an affinity for new devices and technology, and a great desire to improve conditions and outcomes for patients, I continue to learn and stay current on healthcare trends while also engaging with my team and managers to learn and share ideas for unit improvements. With a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and specializing as a Critical Care Nurse, I find it exciting and satisfying to engage in a career that allows me to connect with patients and families, and to be at the forefront of learning in the ever-changing healthcare industry.
