I became a lung cancer advocate when my Dad was diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer. After seeing that the survival rate for lung cancer was only 16%, I knew that there was nothing I could do to save my Dad so I became a lung cancer advocate and make a difference in his memory. My Dad passed away in May of 2012 and I'm doing everything I can to raise awareness in our community and trying to raise much needed funds in an effort to double the lung cancer survival rate by 2022.
