For more than 15 years, I’ve taught rollerskating classes throughout New York City, bringing inspiration, confidence, and a sense of accomplishment to my students.I love to see people happy and to spread kindness through skating, so I founded SKATEROBICS®️ and wrote the book “The Power of The S.K.A.T.E. Transforming Lives through Roller Skating.The Washington Post most recently noted my classes as a " Its a cardio workout!"The New York Times dubbed my classes “a rolling party,” and TimeOut New York called it one of the most fun things to do in NYC. In addition to my love of rollerskating, I’m also a two-time NY Daily News Golden Glove boxing champion, a retired NYC corrections captain, and a certified boxing and group fitness instructor. After receiving an overwhelming response at her weekly class at roller rinks in Massapequa, Dean expanded to St John"s Recreation Center and Eastern Athletic Club in Brooklyn New York . With teacher training and new virtual classes, and the power of the skate is soon to take the city and the nation by storm. In the roller skating world I am is affectionately known as the "Drill Sgt." Specialties: Powerful speaker, Confident Leader, Empowerment specialist, and life changing Skate Instructor.Tanya loves to see people happy and she is spreading goodness and kindness through roller skating. Creating Sisters In Motion was a great opportunity that helped me develop my leadership skills and motivational speaking techniques. S.I.M. as we are known helped me discover my strengths and my weaknesses. We did television shows, parades, events and more. The lessons I learned was leadership development, communication skills, self awareness and personal development. The extraordinary life skills I learned helped catapult me into discovering who I was and my life's calling. The experience I gained put me on the road to self enlightenment and motivational speaking.Sisters in Motion has gained media appearance on various media outlets. Sisters in Motion has skated there way on the Dr. Oz Show, and was featured on Channel 4 Network, "1st Look New York" TV segment.
