I am a multi-skilled public affairs professional who has worked for more than 20 years in the United States and abroad, with a particular expertise in the Balkans. In my day job, I work as the Director of Media Relations and Spokesperson at the Graduate Center, CUNY where I am responsible for promoting the scholarship and research of a highly distinguished faculty in the humanities and social sciences. The Graduate Center, CUNY is a national leader in PhD public education in the United States.As an Adjunct Professor of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs, faculty affiliate of the Harriman Institute, I teach a course of human rights in the Western Balkans. I have been on faculty since 2008. I have worked in public policy roles with respect to post-conflict development in the areas of media development, human rights, democracy development, economic development, human trafficking in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro and Serbia. I have been affiliated with the Balkans since 1991.In 2014, I was appointed a Fellow at the Emerging Democracies Institute, Washington, D.C. where I have been engaged in writing and speaking about trends in emerging democracies in East Central Europe, Former Yugoslavia and Former USSR.For more than a decade I have been engaged in numerous philanthropic endeavors, most recently as chair of the Board of Directors, GetEQUAL, a national grassroots LGBT human rights organization. I have been published in numerous popular media outlets, including The New York Times, The Atlantic Magazine, The Christian Science Monitor, CNN.com, Al Jazeera America, The New Civil Rights Movement, Balkan Insight, Radio Free Europe, among many others.

Domi has worked in a dozen countries, including Kosovo, Montenegro and Serbia in the Balkans. The focus of her work has been democratic, economic, media and political transitional development, as well as human rights and gender/sexual identity issues. Domi is a widely published author with publications in The New York Times, Atlantic Magazine, Foreign Policy, Harriman Magazine, Open Democracy, Al Jazerra English and Balkan Insight and reported for the Institute for War and Peace Reporting. -
