About Tanya Fink
Tanya Fink is a progressive policy planner who works to create inclusive community plans and processes, assess and mitigate community impacts, build community capacity, protect community assets and achieve social change.She brings skill, passion and strategic creativity to every project she is part of. In her 10+ years of experience working for local governments and the non-profit sector, Tanya has become highly skilled at using asset-based and participatory methods to navigate through complex urban social issues and bridge associated divides. She excels at policy development, project management, community engagement, facilitation, and community development.She has led three Social Impact Assessments for the City of Vancouver that engaged thousands of residents and resulted in the creation of government policy that includes cutting edge social impact mitigation and management strategies. She also designed a monitoring and evaluation framework for the City of Richmond’s Social Development Strategy and managed a wide portfolio of social planning issues for the City of New Westminster. From 2018 to 2020 she was responsible for the project management of the City of Vancouver's Employment Lands & Economy Review and lead on its Equity, Diversity & Resilience component.
