Patient Financial Counselor
CurrentEducate patients with the understanding the cost of care, knowledgeable of current resources and programs to assist the patients need for financial resources, counsel patients on financial liability to achieve maximum reimbursement for patient services, provide excellent service by identifying patient needs and fulfilling expectations and handling the patient follow up, assist patients in obtaining financial assistance (i.e., Medicaid, drug replacement, Foundation, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS/ACA), Breast Cervical Cancer program), assist the patient with forms as necessary relative to financial liability & estimated treatment costs, liaison for the patient, between the chemo-authorization department, nurse and hospital, accurate and complete data entry in the Financial Workbooks, conduct weekly Chemo 101 class, responds to patient billing inquiries, Federally-facilitated Exchange Certified Application Counselor for CMS/ACA, completed ACCC (Association of Community Cancer Centers) Boot Camp
