Tanya is a multi-talented Washington attorney, photographer, entrepreneur, and ballroom dancer. When she isn't assisting with government and internal investigations or civil litigation, she pours her energy into her photography business and commercial modeling gigs.Tanya's professional background includes serving as a senior writer and public policy analyst for a nonprofit women's organization; a counsel to the chairman of the United States Senate Committee on the Judiciary; and a published writer. Her most notable and referenced work is her exposé on Planned Parenthood's historical work in the black community, "The Negro Project: Margaret Sanger's Eugenic Plan for Black America.” As a discovery attorney, she specializes in civil litigation and government and internal investigations.Always a shutterbug, Tanya worked as a portrait photographer for CPI Corp. (former owner and operator of Sears Portrait Studios) before going to law school and subsequently having a career in public policy and law. After re-evaluating her career choices - and wanting an outlet for her creativity - she came full circle with a renewed interest in photography as a vocation. A lover of the arts and a professional-amateur (pro-am) ballroom dancer herself, artists are among her favorite subjects to photograph - which is what she does for the Chamber Dance Project, a company of professional artists dedicated to redefining modern ballet in partnership with live music in intimate settings. Her work for the Chamber Dance Project has been published in the upscale DC Modern Luxury magazine.Tanya is a member of the Washington Area Lawyers for the Arts (WALA), which provides legal services and support to the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia creative communities. She is also a member of the Professional Photographers of America. She currently sits on the Chamber Dance Project board of directors. And she is represented by Liquid Talent, a Virginia talent agency and casting company.
