My interest in human resources stemmed from my experiences in the hospitality industry, where I witnessed the dedication of employees and the impact of engagement initiatives on their happiness. My passion for this career arises from my fulfilment when my efforts contribute to a positive workplace culture and employee well-being. I pursued an MBA to deepen my understanding of the strategic and corporate decisions that drive successful organisations, recognising that many influencing factors may take time to notice. Ultimately, I aspire to create an environment where employees feel valued and empowered, making the organisation I work for the employer of choice in the community. I have developed a wide variety of skills from my previous human resources roles and from classes I have taken as a Master of Business Administration candidate at Thompson Rivers University. I have robust experience in sourcing and recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, HRIS, and audit functions. I am an ambitious individual with an optimistic mindset and a driven determination to succeed. Some of the courses I have taken are Human Resource Management, Project Management & Consulting Methods, Decision Analysis, and Strategic Management. In my past role as an Assistant Human Resources Manager, I coordinated and managed a high volume of job requisitions end-to-end, facilitating initial candidate screenings and interviews in order to streamline the overall hiring process and hire the best possible candidates. During this role, I have learned that promoting a high-value organisation involves strategic talent management, design thinking, and change models. It is essential to help employees feel valued, and that could increase their productivity through effective HR initiatives and a supportive organisational environment.I am open to roles within Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Recruiting, Human Capital Consulting, & Project Management.
