Led the business development team for the Dynamics enterprise application platforms. Expanded platform capabilities through strategic partnerships and technology acquisitions in specific industry verticals, increasing partner-led revenue of relevant Dynamics products 15-fold.

Ran outbound licensing team responsible for licensing Microsoft’s corporate-wide IP assets, many strategic deals, built licensing programs, launched the first patent litigations, assisted in settling EU undertaking and helped grow revenue 100-fold over the nine-year period. In addition, I was designated as Microsoft’s M&A IP expert as well as Litigation IP licensing expert.

Key member of the IBM Corporate IP Licensing team with cross-company responsibility for scaling IP licensing income through technology licensing deals, IP asset sales, joint development deals as well as IP portions of major divestitures and joint ventures, handling multi-million to multi-billion dollar transactions. I was a key contributor to generating $1-2B of IP licensing income annually for IBM.

OEM sales with licensing and partner support responsibilities, focused on IBM’s HPCC (high-performance computing platform), both hardware and software. I worked with some of the largest IBM OEM partners in Japan, Korea and Europe.

I held technical management positions in systems software product development in IBM’s GIS (Geographic Information Systems) group, AIX (IBM's Unix variant) operating systems group and IBM’s supercomputing platform then called SP2 PowerParallel.

Continual escalations in job title and experience for the first 10 years of my technical career at IBM (last title, Staff Programmer). I spent the early part of my career in software development for two of IBM’s operating systems, TPF and VM/XA. I held numerous technical programming positions covering the entire product lifecycle as well as project and quality management, receiving many awards. For a period of two years, I also served as an adjunct instructor at IBM’s Software Quality Institute.
