Responsible for review of tax provision and reporting; coordination of US, state & local income tax returns; oversight of tax systems/processes for the compliance/tax accounting function; and monitoring changes in US and state tax law.Tax Director of ATC Group Services, with oversight of tax function for the corporate office and its 71 branches, including all compliance, planning and research for income and franchise, sales, property and business licenses for US, all states, Canada & Mexico. Preparation and review of consolidated tax provisions and tax balance sheet accounts in accordance with GAAP, and coordinates with external auditors. Responsible for analyzing and maintaining FIN48 documentation, managing and defense of all federal, state and local tax audits as well as performing tax due diligence for potential acquisition targets.Joined ATC Group Services in February 2010 as Tax Manager, to successfully transition the tax department from corporate headquarters in Woburn, MA to Lafayette, LA; completed a thorough review and documentation of tax positions to assess risk and implement ATC’s initial adoption of FIN48 and ASC 740 and negotiated a NYS sales tax audit settlement to 50% of original assessment.
