Once oversees and stationed at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti I was in charge of 71 joint personnel that included Army, Air Force, Navy communicators and GS contractors. I was responsible for 28.5 million in deployable communication assets, extended amongst 7 countries on the continent of Africa. My responsibilities included:•Brief current network statuses and significant events to the Joint Network Control Center, the CJ-6 Director and the CJTF-HOA Commanding General. The flow of this information management, aided by common operational (COP) tools, was crucial in the Commanding General’s decision making. •Analyze, report, and task organize personnel in order to perform quality assurance on all forward deployed network nodes. To include coordination of all logistical requirements to forward deploy technicians. •Planned and coordinated the movement, operations, and maintenance of 40 tactical satellite terminal and tactical communication equipment throughout the Horn of Africa are of operation, totaling 28.5 million dollars•Identified and proposed mission critical parts and equipment that aided in the creation of future budgetary allocations for the CJTF-HOA Communications section.
