Key achievements from this role are as follows:• Conceptualized and executed an alternate revenue channel for superstores to use funds accumulated from digital payments and earn commissions to offset payment settlement fees.• Migrated an existing field-force and merchant management tool into a full-fledged merchant servicing solution, through backward integration with respective internal service functions to reduce paperwork and high lead time involved in service delivery.• Developed bKash's merchant lifecycle management modality (SOP) to standardize operating practice, development tactics and rewards at each level of a merchant's journey from acquisition to loyalty.

The Management Trainee Program at bKash Limited (one of the largest Mobile Financial Services (MFS) in the world), selects the best candidates through a grueling system, comprising of verbal and analytical tests, preliminary interviews, a day-long assessment center (with behavioral interview, case solving and presentation), and a final situational interview with the leadership team. As one of four final selected candidates out of 5,000 applicants, I went through rotational experiences in the regional sales, commercial strategy, and digital payments pillars of the organization.Some key achievements during my stints are as follows:• Oversaw operations of two distribution houses with a 40-staff workforce, ensuring secondary sales across an agent network of 5,000+ service points.• Led a re-demarcation effort to evaluate geographical coverage of distribution houses, by analyzing their service-reach, investment and ROIs.• Developed a shared regional sales dashboard on Excel to track daily progress of targets and key performance metrics.• Identified market gap, and initiated process to convert existing customer wallets to business wallets without additional paperwork.• Initiated digital merchant registration during Covid-19 to eliminate paper forms and reduce onboarding time.• Conceptualized and deployed an automated field-force monitoring and merchant management solution to service a nation-wide network of merchant points who receive digital payments using bKash.
