I started working at Omnivision as a Business Development Manager in 2001.After around 3 years of working directly with the Managing Director to establish the company's client base, which became an expansive range of clients from small retail operations to national chains & large factories & warehouses, I shifted from a sales role to one of management.Initially, I assisted to boost the sales team; training new sales people and developing the sales presentation as the company's client base expanded.I was also heavily involved in the product development area, researching new technologies, attending trade shows and assisting to negotiate with international suppliers.I also oversaw the establishment of systems within the installation & support area of the business as was required with the growing client base.In 2004 I was offered a position as a Director of the company which I happily accepted.Between 2004 and 2009 I moved over into the corporate area, spearheading some of the company's largest tenders, winning business with such clients as BP Australia and Reece.At the conclusion of my time with OmniVision, revenues were 500% of what they were when I joined the company, staff numbers had grown from 5 people to around 20 and OmniVision had just won their biggest tender ever with BP Australia & Reliance Petroleum signing onto a 5 year contract for the supply and installation of video surveillance systems throughout Australia.I consider the years spent at OmniVision some of the most enjoyable, challenging and dynamic experiences of my life and will always look upon them with fondness.
