As a passionate and motivated early childhood teacher I remain active in providing high quality care and educational programs for young children and their families. I have over 16 years experience in the early childhood sector and hope to share some of knowledge and experience with other passionate educators. Through my diverse roles I have worked across a range of age groups and am a strong advocate for better outcomes for early education and the critical importance of the first 5 years in laying the foundation for life.I engage with an emergent curriculum that is connected to rich play based learning programs. In this way I see the educational program as constantly evolving and changing as influenced by children’s direct interests, strengths and curiosities. I aim to engage children with their interest-based programs in functional and innovative ways with my core objective being to impart a passion and love for learning. I value the importance of building relationships with children and their families, using these connections to create congruence between the home and centre environment. I aim to provide children with an authentic, meaningful curriculum that draws on their experiences whilst in attendance at the centre and also in the wider community and at home.
