Tara is the Manager of Family Centredness, Inclusivity and Priority Populations at the Canadian Mental Health Association, Simcoe County Branch. She oversees the family support services, Francophone and Indigenous Navigators and the Transgender Therapist & Navigator.Her experience in the not-for-profit community mental health and addictions system spans involvement in psycho-education workshops, anti-stigma and suicide awareness campaigns, hosting mental health conferences, and representing the family voice at provincial, hospital and community health care institutions including the NSM Local Health Integration Network.Tara's commitment to her broader community is demonstrated through her support to hospitals and community not-for-profit agencies. Her leadership on the Board of Directors of the Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County, Catulpa Community Support Services, the Patient/Client and Family Council at Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care and an Appointed Community Advisory Board Member of the Mental Health Centre, Penetanguishene is personally meaningful and she is proud of her opportunities to make a difference to all persons living in her community. Tara's strengths and core competencies include program management, self-motivation, service innovation and creativity, and a highly engaging public speaker. She is creative and resourceful when solution-focusing and is dedicated to service quality improvement.
