A special primary school that caters for a range of disabilities, split throughout three different departments.Assisting teaching children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties in groups, individual activities and classwork.Gaining trust in personal relationships with individual children.Documenting incidents involving children after a restraintUsing “therapy like” techniques and communicating with children before, during and after violent or emotional episodes.Remaining calm and well mannered at all times.Assisting filing of paperwork and child assessment profiles.Undertaking additional training, such as Team Teach/General Services and child protection training. Developing high level communication skills, making informed decisions in high risk situations when under pressure and learning different approaches to handle specific individuals.

Reporting to the CEO, responsible for:• Designing and delivering personal training, 1:1 to large groups incl. children• Providing coaching, mentoring, motivational support and guidance• Creating safe and engaging training development programmes/classes• Instructing students during sessions incl. educating on correct form and intensity• Monitoring and evaluating coaching sessions to ensure continuous improvement• Setting individual goals and targets to enable realistic achievement• Promoting and encouraging participation in training programs and activities (internal & external)• Attending health care meetings to review personnel health status and give updates to the CEO• Developing positive relationships with participants, stakeholder and partners• Reporting equipment/facility problems/issues to the management team• Leading a team of 20 staff to deliver comprehensive HR services to the business of 450+ staff• Supporting the Learning and Development programme and promotion development• Coaching and supporting L&D team leaders incl. introducing new mentoring goals• Monitoring the HR and L&D functions to identify and maximise potential• Delivering career transition advice services to leavers incl. 1:1 and classroom based teaching• Creating future aspiration plans incl. financial set-up, career advice, new employment sourcing etc• Research, development and collation of L&D and career development documentationAchievements:• Planned and delivering thousands of 1 - 50+ participant group training sessions• Positively supported and coached career development and transition for hundreds of individuals• Organised a range of large-scale sports events incl. competitions with 450+ participants• Achieved Best Practice' status for implementing management and customer service policies• Represented the British Army in high-level sporting activities at the Singapore tour• Jungle training in Belize• Completed the 54mile Munich Marathon Yomp
