I am a self-advocate, parent advocate, advocate for diversity and disability, and an advocate for occupational justice. Having volunteered to support people with disabilities since I was a young child, I am passionate about inclusion and equitable access to all occupations. I have diverse work experience in writing and education. I also have over 30 years volunteer experience. These experiences include but are not limited to assisting children with disabilities participate in sports, coaching typically-abled children, improving access to books to children grades K-6, fundraising for and building a playground, founding and co-chairing D'Youville University's Chapter of the Coalition of Occupational Therapy Advocates for Diversity, and advocacy events to support people with disabilities at D'Youville University.
