At Floyd’s Barbershop, I increased sales by 15% within the first year of my management role. I developed skills on how to maximize employee success as well as learned what aspects are needed to be able to provide a safe environment for employees to share their thoughts, aspirations, concerns, and interests.During my education towards my bachelor's degree, I learned many different skills that one would not normally obtain in everyday life. This gave me impeccable ability to make sound decisions, and to communicate with diverse populations. Some of the major transferable skills I have developed from the criminal justice field of study include interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking, and leadership. I gained the confidence to influence and efficiently teach others as well as how to resolve conflicts effectively. My academics have served me well in my current work because I am able to utilize what I learned from my classes in psychology, sociology, ethics, public administration, and law.
