I currently serve as a middle school Teacher of Students with Disabilities and graduated with a Master’s degree in Special Education from Georgian Court University. As an educator of both general and special education for the past six years, my expertise and knowledge would be of great value in assisting struggling students in their educational growth and development. As an experienced educator, I have implemented effective strategies and programs for students two or more years below grade level in mathematics and literacy. In addition, through professional development, I have been trained in differentiating instruction and implementing high impact programs and / or strategies for addressing the individual needs of each student to promote growth and accelerate learning. I also possess a positive record of results with administration, staff, parents and children, as a result of my passion and dedication to meet our shared goal of closing the achievement gap and preparing students for success in college and career. • I have a clear track record of driving improvements in student learning through successfully collecting data based on the implementation of research-based intervention programs, through working with students with multiple disabilities and varying skill levels and abilities. • I am experienced and trained in IEP writing using the IEP Direct system, setting attainable goals and objectives annually, as well as writing quarterly progress reports, for students with disabilities.• I have worked in an inclusion setting in all subject areas, including mathematics and language arts, and I have incorporated effective differentiated instruction activities and strategies to help students excel, based on their individual needs and strengths.• I hold a Bachelor of the Arts Degree in Speech Communication from Montclair State University.Specialties: I hold exceptional presentation, communication, and organizational skills. In addition, I have a passion for serving others and always expanding upon my education.
