Tara Headley is an award-winning interior designer, currently specializing in corporate workplace environments in Atlanta, Georgia. She graduated with a B.F.A, and a subsequent M.F.A. in Interior Design, both from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Tara’s career goals are to continue to create unique experiences that will have positive impacts on client’s lives. Most recently, she has embarked on a new journey as an educator at her alma matter, teaching interior design courses. Born and raised on the island of Barbados, she proudly represents her Caribbean heritage through her love of bright colors and bold patterns in her personal design aesthetic. Her life goals are to travel the world, experiencing as many cultures as possible, as she believes diversity is one of life’s greatest inspirations. For her, designing is a privilege and a means to change the way we see the world. This is evidenced in many of her personal design projects which often deal with issues related to social justice, culture and empathy. She believes it is our responsibility to explore how our talents as designers can change the world for the better.Her design strengths are in translating concept throughout interiors, graphic design, hand rendering as well as computer rendering utilizing Revit and Photoshop software. She is also skilled in presenting and public speaking. Her latest passion is developing skills in product development.Her involvement is evident in leadership roles in several industry organizations. This has strengthened her communication and leadership skills and facilitated collaboration across many disciplines.
