About Tara Jacobs

Hello everyone, I am from Stz'uminus First Nation this is where I live and grew up in the traditional territories of my ancestors. I am a wife and mother of 4 children, I also come from a blended family of 9 of us - 7 sisters & 1 brother. My family roots run through the Snaw-naw-as, Snuneymuxw & Quwut'sun nations. My background of work experience is within support worker roles, my passion is working with children, youth and their families. I have gained numerous and many skills throughout my time at these various organizations and I am thankful for each of them for that. They all have helped shape who I am today, and I wouldn't be where I am today without those experiences. I am passionate about working from a strength-based perspective and believe that anyone who crosses my path has the capacity to be resilient and overcome their barriers or struggles.
