About Tara Karstens, Cpp

I wandered into a career in Payroll, starting with domestic payroll tax and moving into expat/foreign payroll. I passed the 4 hour professional certification exam (CPP) just to prove to myself that I could. I have developed some skills out of necessity, such as most all phases of expat deployment and electronic payment addenda formatting and tracking where the money went or where it was intended to go. I am often the person HR and GM reach out to when they have questions about employees. I'm a nerd who likes to read tax publications and tax code to find the right answer. I'm the Government Liaison for the Texas Bluebonnet Chapter of the APA and I teach at our annual CPP/FPC exam workshops.
