I have also been working in Sketchup and Autocad.I have a keen interest in computer programs and I pride myself on my ability to pick them up quickly and so be an integral team member. I have recently developed a Checklist for how to use REVIT when starting a BIM project from scratch in Miller Bourne Architects. Whether it be through drawings or presentations I am always trying to find a new, quicker and more effective way of representing my designs. I enjoy the challenge, and like to push myself, so I have also developed my photography, film editing and website creation abilities. I think it is important to keep up with the fast paced Architectural industry or risk being left behind and this is something I intend to do throughout my career.

I was also lectured on Chinese architecture and where required to develop a presentation on Chinese Building form progression and Key Principles. The intensity of the work allowed me to quickly develop my master-planning skills and come to terms with a new culture and way of working.

I have been involved from an administration up to a design level, which has cemented my resolve to becoming an architect. I completelyed my Part 1 years experience in Hamilton architects from August 2009- 2010. In my Part 1 placement I was lucky enough to be involved with all aspects of an architect’s role in a variety of projects from initial design, planning, building control, and site visits. I worked closely with clients and my confidence and understanding of the role of an architect developed immensely over the course of my experience.
