I have been in Higher Education for over 10 years. First as a Instructional Multimedia Developer where I had the opportunity to build a C.A.V.E. (Consolidated Audio Video Environment) where MSSU Faculty and staff can use various backgrounds including green-screens to create videos for use on campus and in Blackboard for course enhancement.Also in collaboration with an instructional designer and support of the University we have transformed an out of date ITV classroom into what we call the T.E.A.C.H classroom (Technology Enhanced Activity Centered Hybrid classroom). This room has the ability to record as well as web-stream any class using the Tricaster Mini. I was charged with the task of designing and implementing all of the components together to make an efficient, technology rich room with broadcast capabilities.I am currently an Instructional Designer. I have developed standardized templates for the Master of Science in Management courses as well as the new student orientation. I have worked in conjunction with HR to develop campus wide employee trainings. I have built Blackboard training for our University Experience course assistant. I host weekly trainings called "Teaching Tuesdays" where I cover a wide variety topics that enhance knowledge of technology we offer to our faculty. In addition to contributions to a weekly publication to University from our Digital Learning Team.I sit am an active member of MSSU's staff senate and am the Chair of the Staff Welfare Committee.
