I am currently in my first year of the Bachelor of Science degree at the University of New Brunswick. I hope to become a future health care provider. -What Has Inspired Me-With covid being the biggest topic in our lives today for the past 2 years, I constantly see health care workers going to help others to give them the care they need. Seeing others doing incredible things has enabled me to narrow down what path I want to follow to what I truly want to be in the future. To see people risking their lives to save others is something I want to be able to do. I am slowly taking the steps to make that all happen. However, I do not partially know what I want to pursue after my four years but even after my first year, I have learned about so many new professions that are all potential candidates. If you have any suggestions my contact information is at the bottom, I would love to talk!!-What I am Passionate about-My family and I wanted to help out our community during covid. Winter holidays have been very important to my family, it has allowed us to give and to see friends and family. In 2020 we had started a bottle fundraiser to buy presents for families in need during the holiday season. With covid, many families had lost their jobs and were not able to afford gifts, we want to be able to help them out. Just this past holiday season in 2021 we raised almost $4000.00 from bottles and donations. From there we had spent all the money on toys, grocery gift cards, and other essential items. We then donated to our local fire station so they are distributed to our community. We hope to keep this tradition going!!During my four-year program at UNB, I will be a part of the Woman's Volleyball team at the school. I always need to be busy, and to be able to do school and sports has allowed me to keep my life healthy and positive. Sports have always been a part of my life, it was a way for me to meet new people and understand the concept of teamwork.
