About Tara Pattenden

I am an artist who exhibits internationally, creating interactive new media works, sculpture and performance. My focus is on play and interaction and I explore how clumsy and non streamlined interfaces can disarm participants and enhance the audience experience.I'm interested in new technologies and am constantly updating my skills with my current interests being in creative coding, touchdesigner, unreal engine and other softwares that enable interactive sound and video works. I am the founder and director of Cyber Palace - a space for workshops and meetups in creative technology, located in Fortitude Valley. I teach in interactive media, sound, video and creative code at RMIT and Griffith University. I occasionally work in UX/UI, digital design and web development.
