Tara Seger, M.S., author of Refugee Realities, VP of Sales in the Middle East at Revaluate180, has spent 16 years researching the Middle East. She is a veteran teacher of Middle East Conflicts, Modern World History, US History II, and US History II Honors at Scituate High School in North Scituate, Rhode Island, USA. Her focus has been on conflict zones and refugees. Her research includes traveling to the United Arab Emirates with the World Affairs Council. She also studied extensively at Yad Vashem, the world renowned Holocaust Museum in Jerusalem, Israel. She completed additional research in the West Bank, Nazareth, Tiberius, Caesarea, and Tel Aviv. Tara Seger has personally interviewed dozens of refugees from conflict zones in the Middle East. She was invited to speak at the SOCIOINT International Conference on Education and Humanities Conference in Istanbul, Turkey regarding the unique curriculum she developed for her students. Tara Seger has successfully merged her master’s degree training in curriculum design with her B.A. in History. She combined her unique lesson design with her extensive research of the Middle East to create a book, Refugee Realities, that is easily accessible to young minds while inspiring adults and teens to objectively analyze the causes and consequences of Middle Eastern conflicts.
