My day can consist of the smallest tasks, like setting up a new job in the system, or my day can be full of change orders and accounting for the business. Certified payroll reports, payroll, accounts receivable, change orders, going over contracts and ordering supplies are all a part of my daily duties.

Working for Green Mill for 12 years has given me the opportunity to learn a number of different positions. From meeting people's needs at the front door to handling customer complaints in the back office. My main position since 2007 has been lead bartender. Determining guest needs and personalities is a number one focus for providing efficient service. What does the guest need and want out of their experience. Developing a relationship unique to every guest is important in order to create regulars and keep the clientele coming back. Sometimes the relationship is that of an actor on stage as I like to call it, keeping the smile, attitude and workmanship at a high level. Handling complaints is another part of the job, although not fun it is rewarding as you face new challenges daily and find new and better ways to approach such situations. For the last nine years I have been the top seller in gift cards for the Green Mill gift card contest between the servers within our restaurant. I have also been the top overall seller of gift cards for two consecutive years throughout the corporation. I have been a part time manager for the last three years. Filing paper work, working with Microsoft excel, Microsoft word, checking emails, writing checks and guiding and helping our staff to a successful day at the restaurant.

At Minnesota Head and Neck Pain Clinic I am responsible for registering new patients to appropriate doctors depending on their circumstances. Scheduling patients, Check in/out patients. Collect any form of payment from copays to past due balances and explaining EOB's as needed. Uploading records to patient charts. I also request patient services from insurance such as Verification of coverage and Prior authorizations. Along with patient responsibilities I also do front desk tasks such as faxing, copying documents, scanning, shredding documents, communicating via email and using Microsoft Office for multiple letters, excel spreadsheets etc. I also answer all calls and transferring to appropriate lines. I greet all people who walk in our door with a smile and a personal greeting.

Help set up the annual golf tournament for our military personal. Networking to raise money, collect merchandise for prizes and silent auction. Provide lunch and dinner, drinks, directions and information to all golfers and fellow volunteers.

Every year I volunteer for the MACV Standdown. It is a three day event where military personal are able to come and receive help from different resources for free. The resources include: counseling, hair cuts, job recruitment, lawyers, financial planning, resume building and a check-up at the V.A. Hospital. Most of the veterans are homeless and are seeking clothing, hygiene and surplus items as well. As a volunteer I put together hygiene kits for the veterans including: socks, underwear, shampoo, conditioner, soap, razors, Kleenex, and other necessities that were donated throughout the year. Along with hygiene kits I also assemble surplus bags as well. Those include sleeping bags, boots, jackets, water bottles, camelbacks, rain gear and other outdoor necessities. I also help serve lunch and dinner to our veterans and other volunteers.

Volunteering gives a sense of self worth to me. I feel as though my talents aren't wasted on selfish acts. At feed my starving children people from all over the community come together to bag and box meals for those less fortunate. The meals are sent to under developed countries who cannot grow crops or provide for themselves, whether it's due to natural disasters or social economic issues. Every time I have volunteered the group as a whole has packaged enough meals to feed at least 200 individuals for a year. Taking an hour out of my day to feed 200 people for a year is more than satisfying.

Hair expressions put on a hair and makeup circus show in order to raise money to grant a child the ability to live out one wish. I volunteered to be an act in the show and help raise money to grant this child their wish. As a volunteer I showed up to practice a choreographed skit and pushed to sell tickets for the show through email and social media. The show raised enough money to grant not one but five children's wishes.

As a seasonal worker I was in charge of answering phones and transferring customers to appropriate extensions. I entered invoices and bills into Microsoft excel programs. I sent out tile samples to different jobs our company had placed bids on. I called for curriers and called about jobs we were currently involved with or potential future jobs. I utilized my organizational skills by sorting out filing cabinets, blue prints, tile samples, tile, grout and other materials used for job sites.
