Seasonal Human Resources Master Recruiter

In the summer, I am a seasonal teacher recruiter for our human resources department. I work with recruiters to assist them with HR needs, I monitor the progress of the requisitions and communicate with recruiters and school personnel in an efficient and timely manner. I assist in updating job postings, correspond with applicants, give interviews and summarize my recommendations for school hiring managers. At my local school, I also assist with the hiring process by helping fulfill paperwork, giving interviews, checking certifications and helping the applicants through the process. Actively recruiting, I seek out applicants using helpful sites like Teacher-teachers, Edjoin, LinkedIn and Indeed. When we have hard to find positions, I work with colleges and other local agencies in various states to seek applicants. I assist in training and mentoring new seasonal recruiters. Through this process, I update training documents, revise and edit interview questions, revise and edit excel document tracking requisitions and the hiring progress for the various schools and positions. In addition, I monitor and adjust workload for seasonal recruiters depending on their schedule availability and the requisition needs, adjusting as needed by teaming up recruiters in order to fulfill requisitions by deadlines and increased applications. I also help review applications and resumes to narrow pool to best candidates for the next stage in the interview process. This can sometimes mean more than 500 applicants for only one position, for example. My speed reading and critical thinking skills come in handy during these large and time sensitive projects. I love human resources! It is exciting and fast moving where I have the opportunity to build teams and communities of employees for new schools that have just opened or schools that continue to grow and hire.
