I have been down an interesting path from art to science and back to art again, now in the context of science. I feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to transition from a scientific role in the lab to a creative role in marketing. In the lab, as a research associate and fluorescent imaging specialist, I focused on validating biological research tools and generating high quality data to demonstrate the specificity and sensitivity of those tools.I have a great desire to culture and grow my creative skills in order to provide people with the tools they need to understand complex processes and make informed decisions. Being able to tap into the human senses to capture attention and spread knowledge through digital media is an amazing resource. In a previous role as a Production Artist and Social Media Administrator, I was able to apply my knowledge of trustworthy scientific data to help generate graphics to show the world what our company has to offer. Now, in my role as Marketing Manager, I tap into all of my previous experiences to make the most informed decisions about how to tell the CST story to our customers, partners, and future employees.
