In this role, I work on the Clinical Research Operations Management Support (CROMS) contract providing tailored clinical research support services to clinical studies in oral, dental, and craniofacial diseases that are supported by the NIH-NIDCR's Intramural and Extramural programs. I provide operational support for start-up and activation including support for multiple FDA-regulated clinical trials. I establish and maintain project timelines, oversee the development/review of study documents (protocols, CRFs, manual of procedures, quality management plans, data management plans, informed consents), coordinate with multi-disciplinary study teams and communicate with site and sponsors personnel. I review monitoring and quality management reports ensuring effective follow-up and resolution, and I have experience in technical reviews of safety reports (DSMB/CSOC reports, Medical Monitor Oversight Reports). I effectively maintain the study website, develop and maintain working internal process documents, and manage a group of minimal risk studies under Medical Monitor Oversight.Other job responsibilities include on-boarding new hires and providing continuous training and mentorship to members of the CROMS team.

I work with study teams, principal investigators, and members of the Office of Clinical Trials Operation Management at the NIH on a daily basis. I help review and develop study documents, including clinical protocols, study plans, and assist in the quality management review process. I support and train new employees to the team and help create process and guidance documents.

Served as an outdoor environmental instructor for visiting school groups and day camp counselor for 6-7 year old group. I taught many classes including sustainability, bat ecology, forest ecology, animal ecology, aquatic ecology, orienteering, team building, low ropes, canoeing, night hikes and hiking. I also served as a camp counselor where I wrote and implemented a curriculum for a different science theme every week of the summer. Each week I led the campers on hikes, explored the forest, streams and ponds, did art projects, incorporated STEM activities, learned about our garden, and did projects with other groups on campus.

Served as a lead outdoor environmental instructor for an Episcopal affiliated conference center and outdoor school in western NC for 2 and a half years. Requirements included working outside in all weather conditions delivering environmental programming to a variety of students throughout the year. I taught many ages from Pre-K students to adult groups. I taught many science classes including aquatic ecology, forest/mountain ecology, geology, bog ecology, ornithology and animal ecology. This also included a variety of adventure classes including team building, cooperation, low ropes, high ropes (dynamic and static courses), zip line, orienteering/map reading, hiking, outdoor living skills and canoeing. I mentored and trained staff in all these classes and teaching principles. I led meal times, announcements, evening programs (night hikes, Southern Appalachian culture, square dances), and served as an on-call staff member for the visiting school group. I conducted basic trail maintenance and upkeep of our nature center and site.

I had many responsibilities at Camp Bob at Kanuga that included administrative duties, staff training, sponsor communications, daily activities and overall making sure the camp was operating successfully. I was part of our support staff and together we made up the camp administration. I helped train staff, make schedules, lead meals and evening programming. I worked in the office keeping records of all camper registration forms, food/environmental allergies and any other special needs. I was also the coordinator for Operation Purple Camp which is sponsored by the National Military Family Association. For 2 weeks over the summer, campers with parents in the military or part of the Wounded Warrior Project, are selected to attend our more traditional summer camp with the military theme incorporated. I worked with the association, the families, the camp and our staff to ensure that these campers get the best experience possible. I brought in a military liaison, therapy dogs, active duty soldiers and retired veterans, all of whom did activities with the campers, shared their experiences and served as resources for the campers to come to when needed.
