About Tara Abrahams

Tara is a passionate global advocate for girls and women and a committed philanthropic advisor and strategist. She currently serves as Head of Impact at The Meteor, a new media company that amplifies the voices of women––through storytelling, journalism, and art. Tara is also the founder of kahani, a new print magazine by girls and for girls globally.Tara serves as board chair of She’s The First, an organization that fights for a world in which every girl chooses her own future. She recently joined the board of International Center for Research on Women, and assumed the role of chair in 2021. Prior to her role at The Meteor, Tara served as managing director at Arabella Advisors, led the start-up phase at VOW to End Child Marriage, and was the executive director of The Girl Project at Glamour.
